Welcome
to EnvY-Online.net
This is a site where you'll find a lot of stuff
about .me, Nick Vazzana. Most of my time outside of work is
spent building full-upright arcade machines, traveling the world, SCUBA diving, video editing, and
just learning how stuff works. Feel free to look around and
explore. Be sure to check back later for new content, and updates.

In 2001, I was introduced to an arcade
emulator called MAME
(Multiple Machine Arcade Emulator). In a nutshell, MAME is a program
that emulates arcade games on a regular computer using your
keyboard/mouse for controls. The project began in 1997 with Nicola
Salmoria, the original programmer, who wrote the code in an attempt to
preserve a part of gaming history and prevent some games from being
lost or forgotten completely. His software would eventually spawn an
entire community dedicated to contributing new material and ideas to
support MAME and keep it alive. Currently there are over 3600 unique
arcade games emulated through MAME, and the list gets bigger with each
new release.
Being in the military opens up a lot of
opportunities to see and do things that other people would spend
thousands of
dollars on. They fly 8 hours or more and stay for a few days of
vacation then head back
"home". For me, living in another country is
home. As you can
imagine, being stationed overseas has a definite advantage
when it comes to wanting to travel. Click on the travel link above for
the photo galleries and history of where I've been and what I'm up to now!
***This page is unfinished*** With all the stuff I have going on with
work,
arcades, and traveling, its a wonder I can find time for anything else.
Currently I have 2 R/C cars: A HPI
SuperNitro RS4 and an Associated
RC10B4.
The RS4 inst running at the moment, but hopefully now that I'm settled
in Guam, I'll be able to get it back in order. The B4 on the other hand
makes it out every other weekend to abandoned dirt lots, skate parks,
or neighborhood back streets and terrorizes the local K9 community.
A page devoted to my amateur video editing efforts. Let me know what you think!
Here you'll find a page for my electronic and
computer
stuff. Its mostly pictures and descriptions of the hardware and apps
I'm running, but it also has a few links to some really cool software. "Viva la Open Source!"
